As many 1WineDude readers know, my grandmother passed away this week at the age of 96, having suffered from Alzheimer’s for the past few years (you can read more on that and wine’s possible connection with dementia). Posting here at the blog is taking a backseat to family matters for the next few days.

Sorry for your loss, Joe. I'm 23 and all my grandparents have been gone for a long time now. It's a horrible thing which she had to live with, but living to 96 is certainly nothing to scoff at.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother. My grandparents were also afflicted with the disease, it is such a tragic illness. My prayers are with you and your family.
