Weekly Wine Quiz: Yielding Results Down South

Vinted on March 8, 2013 binned in wine quiz

Welcome to the Weekly Wine Quiz!

This week, I’m kicking off a run of questions about the Argentine wine biz, having just returned from a two week jaunt down there (courtesy of Wines of Argentina) to judge in the 2013 Argentina Wine Awards (more on all of that – much more – in the coming weeks). These questions will all have originally appeared in the newsletter The Juice, a resource for which you should sign up forthwith!

I hope you have fun learning some interesting tidbits about Argentine wine (I myself was quite surprised by some of the answers to the quiz questions when I was researching them). Enjoy…

Yielding Results, Down South: Where does Argentina rank in worldwide vineyard crop yield?
A.  Second
B.  Fourth
C.  Fifth
D.  Twelfth
E.  Fifteenth

Cheers – and good luck!

    I would say C the 5th largest.

      Thanks, Jim.

I remember in the WSET, they had the top 10 wine producing countries, and included New Zealand at number 20, for some reason, without telling us who 11-19 were. Canada, at that time, I think was around 32nd.

MG – yeah, I sometimes wonder how frequently the wset stuff gets updated…
