Weekly Twitter Wine Mini-Reviews Round-up for 2009-08-291 min read

in wine mini-reviews

  • 08 Muirwood Chardonnay (Arroyo Seco): Banana bread. If you don't like banana bread, then you'd better steer clear Otherwise. – enjoy! #
  • 05 Waters Crest Campania Rosso (Long Islan): Bord'x style blend in terms of grapes, but not in terms of complexity. Dark cherry dominates. #
  • 07 Channing Daughters L'Enfant Sauvage Chardonnay (Long Island): In a word – balanced. Citrus & butter, but still lively. VG stuff. #
  • 07 Casanel Chegada Norton (Virginia): A rose take on the brambly Jefferson grape. Acquired taste but could find a place at your next picnic. #
  • 08 Dry Mill Steel Chardonnay (Virginia): Substantive for an all-steel Chard., w/ tropical fruits all over the place. Well-priced, too. #
  • 07 Dry Mill Cabernet Franc (Virginia): All black cherry, & all good. Wondering if the future of Loudoun County should be seeing red… #
  • 08 Zephaniah Cabernet Franc (Virginia): Barrel samples of this garage wine are showing definite promise for Right Coast CF. One to watch. #
  • 08 Willowcroft Riesling (Virginia): Harsh and acerbic. Doesn't feel like Riesling. For $16, this feels more like highway robbery. #
  • NV Willowcroft Petit Verdot (Virginia): Jammy, focused, tannic, & very good. Like a friendly dark fruit monster offering you a tasty cola. #
  • 08 Brokenwood Pinot Noir (Beechwood, Victoria): Cherries & earth. Doesn't sound appealing, but it is to me, 'cause I like it dirty! #
  • 01 Tommasi Ca' Florian Amarone (Pedemonte): Burly & densely concentrated. Practically a spice factory on the nose. Hot damn, that's good! #

Wine Dude I love these refreshing reviews. Did you write them or is this some sort of aggregation?

Thanks! They're all me – they get aggregated weekly from my twitter wine 'mini-review' feed every Saturday. The originals are all posted at http:/www.twitter.com/1winedudereview .

      Cheers!
