Joe has spoken at conferences and symposiums in the U.S. and internationally on the topics of wine and the influence of social media on the wine world, and on the marketing of wine to the newest generation of wines consumers. He has been called one of the thought leaders in helping to educate wineries on the intersections of wine and technology by the wine industry think tank group Vintank. Joe’s opinions on wine-related topics have be cited in outlets as diverse as the L.A. Times, Playboy.com, NY Times, CNBC.com, Mint.com, and Publix® Grape Magazine. He’s also been a judge in wine competitions, wine writing competitions, and award programs such as the Georges Duboeuf Wine Book of the Year Award. Joe holds the London-based WSET Advanced and Washington, D.C.-based SWE Certified Specialist of Wine qualifications.
