• 08 Domaine Brana Ohtiza Rouge (Irouléguy): Like a classic muscle car; brutish, powerful, graceful, surprising & fun all at once. $26 B >>find this wine>>
• 05 Clos Fardet Cuvee Moutoue Fardet (Madiran): Tangy, savory, bracing red that eventually opens up in the glass (after an eternity). $27 B- >>find this wine>>
• 08 Chateau Bellevue La Foret Ce Vin (Fronton): Pretty, serious, not pretty serious nor seriously pretty, but pretty food-worthy. $11 B- >>find this wine>>
• 08 Domaine des Terrisses (Gaillac): Violets, pepper, savory meat & dark berries all dancing to some slightly out-of-tune funk. $27 C+ >>find this wine>>
• 10 Domaine du Cros Lo Sang del Pais (Marcillac): Savory, peppery, rustic & compelling. Will have U wishing for a burger within reach. $12 B- >>find this wine>>
• 08 Château Montus Blanc (Pacherenc du Vic Bilh): Most oaked white wines really ought to be more like this unctuous, vibrant beauty. $27 B+ >>find this wine>>
• 10 Colombelle L’Original Rouge (Cotes de Gascogne): Proof positive that rough-and-tumble Tannat actually has a bit of a soft side. $10 B- >>find this wine>>
• 10 Colombelle L’Original Blanc (Cotes de Gascogne): Screaming acidity, screaming herbs, screaming citrus, & a screaming bargain. $10 B- >>find this wine>>
• 08 Chateau d’Esclans Rose (Cotes de Provence): You’re being served rose petal & oak stave, but the server is pretty damn sexy. $35 B+ >>find this wine>>
• 09 Domaine Rimbert Les Travers de Marceau (Saint Chinian): There’s spicy cooking happening *somewhere* in that brambly forest… $13 B- >>find this wine>>
• 06 Domaine des 2 Anes Fontanilles (Corbières): And on that barn they had some (tangy but very barnyardy) wine, ee-i-ee-i-ohhhh. $13 C+ >>find this wine>>

• 10 Keuka Lake Vineyards Dry Riesling Falling Man Vineyard (Finger Lakes): Spiced pear & lime lay down together on a crystal clear bed $30 B+ >>find this wine>>

• 09 Suavia Monte Carbonare Soave (Soave Classico): Just like picking at the orchard; you’ll smell the tart apples, wooden crates & all. $33 B >>find this wine>>
• 11 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau (Beaujolais-Villages): Yeah it’s got banana but you won’t be a monkey’s uncle w/ this. $11 C+ >>find this wine>>
• 10 Blue Plate Chenin Blanc (Clarksburg): A curvy, energetic & most importantly, *cheap* date; she’s promising you a *very* nice time $9 B- >>find this wine>>
• 10 Cuma Torrontes (Cafayate Valley): Like most politicians, full of verve & promise that all goes somewhat unfulfilled in the end. $13 C+ >>find this wine>>
• 08 Cliff Lede Lonely Wizard (Stags Leap District): Like KISS’ Destroyer album; big, brash, a bit too loud, & just utterly satisfying. $90 A- >>find this wine>>
• 07 Lindstrom Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley): About as beautifully dense (ahh, but not as complex!) as a quantum singularity. $119 A- >>find this wine>>

• 10 Tariquet Classic Ugni Blanc-Colombard (Cotes de Gascogne): The French down this tropical goodness by the truckload; so should you. $9 B- >>find this wine>>
• 09 La Posta Estela Armando Vineyard Bonarda (Mendoza): Big fruits talking loud over soft-spoken spice, who can’t get word in edgewise $17 B- >>find this wine>>
• 11 Frisk Prickly Riesling (Victoria): A pinch of Muscat Gordo makes for more spritzy fun than ought to be legally allowed in 750ml. $11 B- >>find this wine>>
• 10 Ravines Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes): Lime & grapefruit playfully hitting their stride along the wet rocks, & they’re fun to watch. $17 B >>find this wine>>
• 09 Selbach Fish Label Riesling Dry (Mosel): Citrus steps backward from prev. vintages & stumbles on its own mineral German soils. $16 B- >>find this wine>>
• NV Lamberti Prosecco (Veneto): This fruity quaffer won’t start a firefight w/ your food, but won’t light a fire in your soul, either. $14 B- >>find this wine>>
• 08 Cobb Diane Cobb Coastlands Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast): Oscar-caliber love scene btw bright fruitiness & complex earthiness $78 A- >>find this wine>>
• 02 Laurent-Perrier Brut (Champagne): Van Gogh in a glass- textured & beautifully rendered; give it about 8 more years to really shine $69 A- >>find this wine>>
• NV La Vendemmia Prosecco (Prosecco): Do you like apples? How about I just give you more apple, how do you like them apples, huh?!? $10 C+ >>find this wine>>
• 08 Red Car Syrah (Sonoma County): Juicy berries & peppery, cured bacon apparently aren’t just for breakfast anymore, friends. $45 B+ >>find this wine>>
• 03 Brokenwood ILR Reserve Semillion (Hunter Valley): Makes a nutty, oily, refreshingly compelling case for aging Sem from down under. $20 B+ >>find this wine>>
• 10 Bonny Doon Vineyard Clos de Gilroy Grenache (Central Coast): Violets in her hair, red berries in her hand & leather in her pants. $18 B >>find this wine>>
• 07 Malk Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley): Yeah, it’s basically a bulldog – but it’s a bulldog with friggin’ best-in-show papers! $72 A- >>find this wine>>

• NV Sandeman 30 Year Tawny Port (Porto): Brooding caramelized & walnut-filled loveliness, but it will only reward the truly patient. $75 A- >>find this wine>>
• NV Sandeman 20 Year Tawny Port (Porto): Crowd-pleasing dried fruit & toasted nuts tailor-made for post-holiday-dinner fireside chats $46 B+ >>find this wine>>
• NV Sandeman 10 Year Tawny Port (Porto): Toffee & lovely peppery spice kind of running into each other in moments of temporary panic. $29 B >>find this wine>>
• 07 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Fay (Napa Valley): Sporting as many complex elements as that label’s stag has points on its antlers. $70 A- >>find this wine>>
• 08 Four Brix Winery Temptress (CA): Juicy Tempranillo from CA that actually tastes like Tempranillo? Hell, sign me up for that pronto! $28 B >>find this wine>>
