Bottling the 2009 Matthiasson Refosco in one month. It starts with bright red fruit, then a steely/blood kinda metal on the mid-palate, with a very long finish. The 2010 crop got fried in the heat wave…still learning how to grow this Fruilian great in Napa.

We really appreciate your enthusiasm for Tocai Plus! It is a tiny part of our production, but such an important wine because it (like our Vespa Bianco and Calabrone wines) shows the enormous potential of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
I am the writer of that very infrequently updated blog, and I WISH with all my heart that I had more time to dedicate to writing it. Now that Vinitaly is over and the growing season has begun, I'll be able to do more for the blog.
