		<description>My wife lost her father to Alzheimer&#039;s.  Her mother is in a home, as is my own.  But do not think they are lost.  It is that we cannot know where they are.  There is a great book I read years ago, &#039;Scar Tissue&#039; by M. Ignatieff.  It makes the radical argument that Alzheimer sufferers are in an unknown place, an incommunicable place.  But it may also be a place of beauty.  We simply do not know, we should not say, that they are lost.  The brain has resources, riches.  We let go.  But the brain does not.   </description>
