I hadn't thought about the love/respect connection but it makes sense, especially when it's reached the level of art form as it has for so many of those Iron Chef contestants!

You hit a personal chord with this post. I have endless respect for the Iron Chefs. Ever since 1999, I watched the original Japanese show and it ignited my passion for food's flavors. These chefs take their craft so seriously and put every ounce of pride into every grain of salt they choose to distribute over a course. It does not surprise me in the slightest that you had an amazing tasting experience. A love and respect for food passes on directly as a love and respect for the person tasting it. It's the same passion I feel with the vineyard team here--there's no greater rush than experiencing this kind of dedication first hand.
