WSET currently has qualifications available in 50 countries in 16 languages. I believe I would call this an accredtited organization. There are a LOT of "certs" out there for wine that are worthless. In my experience, WSET/MW, Court of Master Sommeliers, and Society of Wine Educators are well-known (the first 2 world-wide, the third more in the U.S. but gaining traction elsewhere). Outside of those, extreme caution needs to be used... Great plan, wingman!

I always wondered about these certifications. I'm in IT and certifications tend to be like, (excuse the language) assholes. Everybody has one and there only good for spewing shit. I've never really given much cred to certifications, but apparenly WSET and Masters of Wine are actually worth something!
